Pietro Manzo was born next to Salerno (ITA) in 1981 and is currently based in Florence. Right after getting his degree at the Florence Fine Arts Academy in 2005 he attended a master degree at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki (FIN).
In 2011 he get a personal show in Fribourg (CHE) entitled “Under Costruction” hosted by the Pah! Project gallery. During the same year he exposes in Florence the project “ri-Costruire (intro)” in the Lyceum of Florence.
In 2011 his work “State of the Arts” is featured in the Academy pavilion during the 54th Venice Biennale.
In 2016 he’s invited to join the project “Geografie dell’Arte Emergente” at the Luigi Pecci Center for Contemporary Arts in Prato.
In 2008 he wins a price from the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage for his work and in 2013 he’s awarded with the Elizabeth Greenshield Foundation Grant in Montreal (CAN).
He joins the workshop Lights and Spaces in Helsinki and from 2009 until 2014 he spends five years hosted by the prestigious residency “Tito Conti” in the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno in Florence (ITA).
